LETHBRIDGE, AB - Little League Alberta is excited to announce the upcoming Tee-Ball Jamboree, a fun-filled, community-focused weekend designed to introduce young athletes to the game of baseball. Hosted in Lethbridge on May 29th and 30th, the event will welcome players ages 4-6 for an unforgettable experience centered on learning, teamwork, and fun, and feature an appearance by former Major League Baseball great Kevin Pillar.
As part of the Canadian Grand Slam of Baseball Showcase and Festival in Lethbridge from May 21st until May 31st, the Tee-Ball Jamboree promises a jam-packed schedule where young players, whether stepping onto the field for the first time or already developing their skills, can learn, play, and smile in a positive and inclusive environment. The event emphasizes the core values of Little League; Fun, community, integrity, teamwork, and inclusion, helping foster a lifelong love of baseball.
Adding to the excitement, Little League Alberta is proud to introduce Jesse Sawyer as the official Tee-Ball Ambassador. Jesse has made a significant impact on baseball across Southern Alberta and Canada through his leadership, dedication, and passion for developing young athletes. His work with the Lethbridge Bulls, Prairie Baseball Academy, and coaching the Canadian National team for Little League Canada has played a key role in growing the game at multiple levels while inspiring the next generation. Jesse was also a member of the 2000 Calgary West Little League Canadian Champion team who represented Canada at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Known for his commitment to creating fun and inclusive spaces, Jesse will support grassroots baseball initiatives and help build strong development pathways for young players throughout the province. His energy and passion make him an outstanding representative for Little League Alberta as the organization continues to grow the Tee-Ball program.
The weekend kicks off on Friday, May 29th with a special outing to a Lethbridge Bulls game, including a pre-game parade and a chance for participants to meet former Major League Baseball player Kevin Pillar.
Saturday’s activities begin with a pancake breakfast at Spitz Stadium, followed by a parent information session and movie at the Movie Mill before heading over to Lakeview Fields for their Tee-Ball games, as well as other fun attractions between games to keep the excitement going throughout the day.
The Tee-Ball Jamboree is open to families and teams from across the province and will serve as a cornerstone event in promoting youth baseball at the young ages throughout Alberta.
